Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release
Greetings everyone, April is finally here! We're ten days away from the 2009 USL season where we can all get a good look at our competition for next year, and the US National Team plays a World Cup Qualifier tonight against Trinidad & Tobago.We also have some great updates on the Rowdies for you.
To start things off, the big question everyone has been asking is "What's the deal with the Stadium?" We've been hearing lots of rumors in the community and on messageboards and we wanted to set the record straight. We've been working tirelessly to settle the stadium situation and make sure that we have the perfect environment and atmosphere for our games. We are getting close to finalizing details, and will be making the official announcement in the next 60-90 days and just ask everyone to hang in a little longer. The main thing we want to let you all know that some of you have been worried about, is that the stadium will be centrally located in the Tampa area.
Another thing we wanted to let you know about is that the Rowdies Fan Forum is live on the website! This is a great chance to start to get to know your fellow fans, talk about the team, and just general conversation about what's going on with Tampa's other teams and the community itself. You can find it under the Fanzone tab on the website. We're hoping to get to know a lot of you on the board, and we'll be doing some fun contests on there as well, so sign up and come join the action!
Since we're so excited about the Fan Forum, we're having a contest to celebrate! Between now and next Saturday, April 11th, we are going to be giving away some t-shirts and scarves on the messageboard. All you have to do to enter is sign up and join the fun!
We'll be picking the winners randomly from people who sign up on the board, and random times we've picked where the closest post to those times will win. So head over to the Fan Forum and join the community!
