
Rowdies Sign Forward/Midfielder Picault

TAMPA, Fla. (February 21, 2012) - The Tampa Bay Rowdies today announced the signing of forward/midfielder Fabrice Picault (pronounced Pee-caul) to a two-year contract, with a club option for the 2013 season.
Picault (5-8, 140) is a former member of the United States U-20 Men's National's Team. The 20-year old of Haitian descent, who will celebrate his 21st birthday this Thursday, grew up in Miami and New York City. Picault will join the team this Friday.
Picault spent the last four seasons of his young professional career playing for Cagliari Calcio in Italy's Primavera division. The Campionato Primavera is the top competition in Italy for the youth teams of Serie A clubs. Picault's professional experience and overseas training coupled with his unique technical skills and speed made him the most sought after player at the 2012 NASL combine.
The Rowdies open the 2012 regular season on the road at Puerto Rico on Saturday, April 7 before hosting FC Edmonton in the home opener on Saturday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. at Al Lang Stadium.
