Rowdies Reveal Full 2021 Schedule

ST PETERSBURG, Fla - The Tampa Bay Rowdies now know the path ahead of them for the 2021 USL Championship season after the league confirmed dates and opponents for the entire 32-match schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
The Rowdies will be sticking close to home for the start of the season. After the May 1 season opener against the Charlotte Independence, the Rowdies will remain at Al Lang for three more matches through the end of the month. May's homestand includes a marquee matchup fans have been eager to see. Last season's Eastern Conference and Western Conference champions will finally clash on May 15, with the Rowdies set to host Phoenix Rising FC. The following week, on May 22, fans will be treated to another enticing matchup as the Rowdies will battle in-state rivals Miami FC for the first time in 2021.
This year's format sees the Eastern and Western Conferences split into two divisions, with each team playing their division opponents twice at home and twice away. The remaining four matches will be played against other regional teams or cross-conference opponents. Two of the Rowdies' non-division opponents are teams they've never encountered before. Expansion side Oakland Roots SC will make the cross-country trip to Florida on September 3, and the Rowdies will have to cross a few time zones themselves to face Las Vegas Lights FC on the final day of the regular season.
The bulk of the action for the Rowdies, though, will be in the Atlantic Division. Besides Miami and Charlotte, the Atlantic Division includes New York Red Bulls II, Loudoun United FC, as well as 2020 playoff clubs Hartford Athletic, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, and the Charleston Battery. The Rowdies' first meeting of the season against the Battery will kick off the July Fourth weekend in what is sure to be an exciting match on Friday, July 2.
That match against the Battery kicks off a busy six-match stretch for the Rowdies in July, but they'll be even busier in October when they take the field seven times. As a result of the delayed start to the season, teams will face a condensed schedule in order to fit all 32 matches in before the end of October. Kickoff times, a national broadcast schedule for select matches, and the structure for the 2021 postseason will be announced before the start of the season.

Capacity at Al Lang is limited due to health and safety protocols, so becoming a ticket holder today is the only way to ensure fans don't miss out on any of the Rowdies' 16-match slate of home matches.
