
Roosevelt Bouie Named Buffalo Stampede Big Man Coach and Radio Color Commentator

A 7-foot historical figure in the building of the Syracuse University Orange has joined the professional staff of the Buffalo Stampede. Roosevelt Bouie Jr., the famed center for SU (1976-1980) hails from Kendall NY where he owns and operates US Lega Basket, an international sport management firm specializing in professional basketball development. After a high successful pro playing career Bouie has become a household name in Italy, where he played for 16 years. He runs international exposure camps for players, coaches and agents throughout the year placing numerous players, coaches and sport management staff in positions worldwide.
The Stampede are privileged and elated to have such an established and highly reputable basketball professional in our organization. Roosevelt will train our big men and provide experienced commentary on our radio broadcasts. Another step in solidifying the future of Pro Basketball in Buffalo, the addition of Bouie to the staff will create international opportunities for people involved in our organization.
As Director of United States Operations for the Lega National Pallacanestro (LNP) Italian National Basketball Association, Roosevelt was responsible coordinating an American Basketball Tour for Italy's Under-22 National Team. Buffalo Select All-Stars coached by Rich Jacob played the Italian Team on June 23, 2008 in an international exhibition before a packed gym at Medaille College of Buffalo. Buffalo Pro Hoops, Inc. will work to partner with Lega National Pallacanestro (LNP) the Italian Pro Basketball League for future shared endeavors.
