Romario Williams Named to Team of the Week for Week 30

Colorado Springs, CO - The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and the USL Championship officially announced today that Romario Williams has been named to the Team of the Week for Week 30 of the 2023 season, presented by Konami eFootball.
Romario Williams scored three goals across two appearances, recording four shots on target overall and two chances created, as the Switchbacks claimed four points to close in on a postseason berth.
Williams scored twice in the mid-week game against Detroit City. One of Detroit City FC's defender had a moment of miscommunication when passing the ball back to the goalkeeper, and Williams took advantage of the opportunity and slid the ball right past the goalie into the net.
His second goal against Detroit was in the 49 ¬Â², Romario Williams charged forwards with the ball, after blocking a sliding attempt from the goalkeeper, and Williams rocketed the ball into the net.
For last Saturday's match against Rio Grande Valley FC, the Switchbacks were awarded a penalty kick and Williams calmly took the position, and swiftly struck the ball into the net, giving the Switchbacks the first goal of the night.
