Reading Rockets News Release

The Reading Rockets are pleased to announce their involvement in the 2012 Redner's Family Expo at the Greater Reading Expo Center this weekend. Rockets players and staff, as well as Loco the Iron Horse, will be on hand to meet and greet local families. Last year over 10,000 people enjoyed the expo, which runs from 10 am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

"This is such a great event for our organization to be a part of," said Vice President and General Manager Andy Makal. "Our mission is to provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment so this really is our target audience. We're excited to be a part of it."

The Rockets have teamed up with Lacrosse Evolution to provide an inflatable shooter for kids to enjoy and are holding a prize drawing for attendees, including free tickets and merchandise. For more information on the expo, log on to www.rednersfamilyexpo.com.

The Rockets return to the Launch Pad on November 9th to take on the Charlotte Copperheads at 7:05. It's Military/Veterans Appreciation Night and the team will be auctioning off their jerseys to benefit Keystone Wounded Warriors and local VA Hospitals. The Rockets will salute past and present members of our nation's armed forces and are donating tickets to the PA National Guard as well as veterans groups.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.rocketslax.com and through the Sovereign Center Box Office. For more information on group tickets, call (302) 507-1980.
