Rocket Launch Past MAINEiacs

Lewiston MAINEiacs News Release


LEWISTON, ME - Samson Mahbod finished with three points to lead the PEI Rocket to a 6-4 victory over the Lewiston MAINEiacs Friday night at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.

Lewiston scored first early in the game on Stefan Fournier's third goal of the season. Fournier tipped in a Samuel Carrier shot from the point past Rocket goaltender Marco Cousineau. PEI scored three straight goals to assume a two goal lead at 12:38 of the second period.

However, the MAINEiacs responded, as Francis Beauvillier and Etienne Brodeur lit the lamp, to tie the game at three. Despite the comeback effort, Lewiston could not hold off the Rocket. Jarrad Struthers and Samon Mahbod scored in the final stanza to pull away, and seal the game for PEI. For a complete game recap CLICK HERE
