Rochester to play at Blue Cross Arena

August 29, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release


Rochester, NY. The ABA Rochesgter RazorSharks will have home court advantage at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial for the 2005-2006 season. The RazorSharks will play their 18 home games at the 11,200 seat arena in downtown Rochester beginning with their inaugural game and home opening, Saturday November 5th. The 36-game regular schedule concludes in March 2006.

"We are pleased to call The Blue Cross Arena our home for our first season of play," said Orest Hrywnak, CEO and GM of the RazorSharks. "Arena director Jeff Calkins, The Blue Cross Arena staff and the City of Rochester have opened their arms to the RazorSharks basketball team. We look forward to providing our fans with a first class venue for professional basketball as well as a championship team on the court and an entertaining game night atmosphere in arena."

The ABA, featuring the legendary red, white and blue, will feature 50 teams in nine divisions from coast-to-coast in the US, Canada and Mexico.
