OFF THE RAILS: Looking to bounce back after a tough loss on Tuesday, the Rochester Red Wings did just that against the Scranton/WB RailRiders Wednesday, running away with an 8-1 win...the Red Wings offense connected on four homers in the win, tying a season high...3B TREY LIPSCOMB went deep for the 19th time this season to extend his career-high, and the trio of RF LEANDRO PINEDA, C MAXWELL ROMERO JR., and CF SAM PETERSEN each launched their first Triple-A home runs...four Rochester pitchers limited the RailRiders to just four hits, led by LHP JACKSON KENT with 5.2 solid innings of work...the Red Wings will look to string together wins and take a 2-1 series lead tonight, sending RHP LUIS PERALES to the mound against highly touted prospect RHP Elmer Rodríguez... Last night marks the first time since at least 2004 that three different Red Wings hit their first Triple-A home runs in the same game.

PERALES' PACE: RHP LUIS PERALES picked up his fifth win of the season and third of July in his previous outing on 7/31 vs. SYR, and will take the ball tonight for his 18th start (21st app.) of 2026...the Venezuela native turned in 5.0 scoreless innings in the contest, allowing four hits while striking out seven and walking a pair...Perales finished the month of July with a 1.46 ERA (4 ER/24.2 IP), second-best among all qualified Triple-A pitchers and seventh-best in full-season Minor League Baseball...he also ranked third in the International League with a .180 BAA, and T-6th with Wednesday night starter LHP JACKSON KENT with 29 strikeouts across the month...coming into tonight, the hard-throwing right-hander needs just 3.0 innings pitched to reach 250.0 in his professional career... Perales is holding left-handed hitters to just a .170 BAA this season, second-best among all right-handed Triple-A pitchers (min. 25.0 IP vs. LHH), and 15th-best in MiLB.

NEW FACES, SAME PLACES: With a slew of Red Wings transactions across the last several days following the conclusion of the MLB trade deadline, several new faces have donned a Rochester uniform for the first time...last night's outfield trio of LF JOHNATHON THOMAS (making his Triple-A debut), CF SAM PETERSEN, and RF LEANDRO PINEDA have now logged a combined 10 games at the Triple-A level in their professional careers after spending the first part of the season with Double-A Harrisburg...RHP JAKE BIRD also made his Red Wings debut out of the bullpen, after joining the club on 8/3 when Luis Garcia Jr. was traded to New York-AL in exchange for four pitchers... Bird is the 42nd pitcher, and 65th player overall to suit up for the Red Wings in 2026.

THIS IS THE (TREY)WAY: 3B TREY LIPSCOMB filled the stat sheet as part of an 8-1 win over SWB on Wednesday, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run...his single in the top of the third opened the scoring for Rochester, while his 422-foot moonshot six innings later put the team ahead, 6-1...the 26-year-old has now tied his Triple-A career high in runs (53), while tallying six multi-hit efforts in his last 12 games and accounting for a run in each of his last three... The Maryland native is five RBI away from 250 in his professional career. Entering tonight's contest, he is slashing .316/.361/.544 in 15 Thursday games this season.

THE KENT STANDARD: LHP JACKSON KENT picked up his team-leading eighth win of the season in just his 13th Triple-A start, turning in 5.2 solid innings while allowing one earned on three hits with five strikeouts and two walks...Kent has now turned in at least 5.0 innings on six of his last seven starts dating back to 6/27 at CLT, and ranks fourth in the International League with 36.1 innings since that date while holding a share of the second-most strikeouts (35)...since making his Triple-A debut on 5/23, the southpaw's eight wins leads the International League, and is tied for the most in Minor League B aseball...he is one of two Triple-A starting pitchers this season with at least eight wins in fewer than 20 starts, joining Sugar Land southpaw Josh Hendrickson... Since making his professional debut in 2025, Kent (16 W) is one of 10 Minor League starting pitchers to pick up at least 15 wins...Tuesday night's SWB starter Brendan Beck leads the way with 20.

PINEDA-RADE: RF LEANDRO PINEDA joined three other Red Wings in going yard last night, as the 24-year-old mashed a two-run shot in the top of the fifth to put Rochester ahead, 5-0...he is now batting .391/.481/.783 since joining the team from Double-A Harrisburg on 7/22, boasting the fifth-highest OPS (1.264) of any Minor Leaguer who has logged at least 20 at-bats this season...furthermore, the Venezuelan has recorded three multi-hit efforts with the Wings, and is cracking the bat to the tune of a .400/.471/.867 slash line through 15 at-bats in the present month of August... Pineda is two home runs from 40 and five RBI from 250 in his professional career.

RILEY SET GO: 1B RILEY ADAMS went 1-for-5 in last night's win, his only hit coming in the third inning as an RBI single...Adams extended his hit streak to 9 consecutive games, tied fourth for the longest active streak in the International League...since his streak began on 7/26, the California native is leading the Red Wings in batting average (.438), slugging percentage (.625), OPS (1.125), hits (14), and total bases (20)...his .438 batting average is also the fifth best amongst all qualified Triple-A players in this time... Since the All-Star break started on 7/13 (min. 25 AB), Adams leads the Red Wings in batting average (.327), and is second in both slugging percentage (.564) and OPS (.961).

RAISE A GLASSER: 2B PHILLIP GLASSER scored a run and logged a walk in his 1-for-4 night at the plate...he has now reached safely in 130straight games, the longest active on-base streak on the Red Wings and has had a walk in the last five games...since the beginning of his on-base streak on 7/22, he leads the Red Wings in OBP (.438) and walks (12).
