
Rochester Lancers Announce Five New Players

ROCHESTER, NY- Head Coach Billy Andracki today announced the addition of five new players to the Lancers roster pending league approval. The five new players are U.S Futsal National Team Player, Grady Renfrow, Rochester Rhinos Goalkeeper, Neal Kitson, F.C. New York players Josiah Snelgrove and Gary Boughton, from Buffalo, NY. The Lancers also signed MISL All Star Defender William Kletzien.
The Rochester Lancers season starts tomorrow, November 4th, at The Syracuse Silver Knights at 7:30pm, and their home opener will be played on Saturday, November 12th at 1 pm against the Missouri Comets at the Blue Cross Arena. The five new players will join Doug Miller, Mauricio Salles, Rey "Boom Boom" Martinez, JP Reyes, Andrew Hoxie, Nelson "Nelly" Becerra, Leo Tillemont, Kyle Manscuk, Lubo, Brayton Knapp and Elliot Fauske.

Grady Renfrow - #22 US Futsal National Team defender Grady Renfrow joins the Lancers after playing in the Futsal Grand Prix in Manaus, Brazil in October. During the 2011 outdoor season, Renfrow played on defense for the Puerto Rico Soccer League Champion FC Leones along with Lancers teammates Mauricio Salles and Leo. Renfrow played four years on defense at Penn State. Grady had to take a redshirt year off following his freshman season to recover from Leukemia.
Neal Kitson - #25 Neal Kitson joins the Lancers after two very successful outdoor seasons as the starting goalkeeper for the Rochester Rhinos. Kitson has helped lead the Rhinos to back-to-back league and division regular season titles. Kitson also became a YouTube sensation this past season due to his 90th minute equalizer goal at Antigua on a free kick from his half of the field. Kitson starred in college at St. John's University where he played with fellow Lancer Nelson "Nelly" Becerra. During his senior season, Kitson set the school record with 15 shutouts in leading the Red Storm to a regular season Big East title and the fourth NCAA College Cup birth in school history.
Josiah Snelgrove - #2 Canadian Josiah Snelgrove joins the Rochester Lancers after spending the 2011 USL Pro League season with F.C. New York. Before that, the defender spent two seasons with the Charlotte Eagles and the Southern California Seahorses of the USL. Snelgrove played his college soccer at Houghton College where he earned all-conference honors three times and a 2007 NAIA All-America honorable mention.
William Kletzien - #3 William Kletzien joins the Rochester Lancers after spending the 2010-11 MISL season with the Chicago Riot. As a defender, Kletzien led the Riot in blocked shots with 39 and was second on the team with 18 penalty minutes. Before that, Kletzien was a teammate of Rey Martinez on the 2009-10 Philadelphia KiXX. Kletzien has also played indoor for the Chicago Storm and the Detroit Ignition throughout his career. The Kent, Ohio native played his college soccer at the University of Akron where he was a first team All-MAC Conference selection in 2003.
Gary Boughton - #4 Buffalo native Gary Boughton joins the Rochester Lancers after he started his pro career with F.C. New York during the 2011 USL PRO League season. Prior to turning pro, Boughton set an NCAA record with 82 assists during his four year career at Medaille College. During his four years at Medaille, they never lost a conference game and made three trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament. He also played in the USL's PDL for the Fort Wayne Fever, Austin Aztex U23s, Newark Ironbound Express, and the Houston Leones during his college career.
