December 10, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Topeka Pilots News Release
The Pikes Peak Miners, proud members of the NAPHL, are pleased to announce that forward Brendan Doyle has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Topeka RoadRunners. Topeka competes in the NAHL's South Division.
Doyle, 17, is in his first season playing for the Miners 18U team and second season playing in the NAPHL overall. The native of Colorado Springs, CO, has 16 points in 20 NAPHL games so far this season, which ranks tied for 3rd on the team in scoring.
During the latest event in Blaine, Doyle (5'11/170) had four points in five games as the Miners put together a 3-2 record. With 22 points, the 18U Miners sit in a tie for 8th place in the standings with five games remaining in the regular season.
This isn't Doyle's first stint in the NAPHL. During the 2013-14 season, he played for the Miners 16U team where he had 17 points in 20 regular season games and added one point in four playoff games.
This is the second tender signed this season by a Pikes Peak 18U player as defenseman Preston Weeks tendered earlier with Kenai River.
