
Roadrunners Hire Vice-President of Business Operations

[Santa Fe, N.M.] - Santa Fe Roadrunners' Owner/President Mary Magdalene Lorang announced yesterday that Peirce Clayton has been hired as the Vice-President of Business Operations for the Roadrunners organization. Clayton has already started his duties assisting in all aspects of business for the Roadrunners of the North American Hockey League (NAHL).
Clayton's main focus will be assembling a solid business plan for the Roadrunners. Being a realtor in Santa Fe, Clayton has experience with organizing business plans that are effective. Aside from real estate, Clayton has proven his success in the business world. In 2002, he was a top three finalist for the New Business Challenge Award presented by the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce.
"Peirce is an honest person who, I believe, gives us great insight into the Santa Fe community," Said Mary Magdalene. "He really cares about the Roadrunners and wants us to succeed."
After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1996, Clayton started a pottery business and then moved it to Santa Fe nine years ago. He wrote the book, "Clay Lovers Guide to Making Molds", which was published in 1999 and is used for ceramics education in many colleges today.
"My commitment to the Roadrunners is 100%," Said Clayton. "Doing whatever it takes to make this team succeed in the city of Santa Fe."
Clayton, 40, was born in Chanahassen, MN and grew up around the game of hockey. He is married to his wife Kirsten Jasna and they have two children Eli, 8 and Sylvie, 5. Clayton will continue his career in realty, while working for the Roadrunners as the Vice-President of Business Operations.
