Roadrunners help sportswriter's son

RIO RANCHO, NM - The New Mexico IceHoles Charitable Foundation announced today that they will work with the Santa Fe Roadrunners of the North American Hockey League (www.nahl.com) and local media celebrities to play a charity hockey game as a fundraising event on March18, 2006.

The event will support Cade Webber, son of Will Webber of the northern bureau of the Albuquerque Journal. Cade suffers from biliary atresia and requires a liver transplant. Family health insurance is insufficient to cover the extraordinary costs of a liver transplant. .

The New Mexico IceHoles Hockey Club will play an exhibition match with local Santa Fe and Albuquerque media representatives. The match will take place on Saturday 18 March 2006 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The big event will take place at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center in Santa Fe. Officiating, public address announcers and intermission entertainment will be highlights as well as entertaining hockey.

A Santa Fe Pee Wee league will play an exhibition game between periods as well as the very popular chuck-a-puck competition.

Please support this worthy cause by purchasing tickets ($3 adults; $1 children 10 and under) the night of the event at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center.
