RoadRunners Acquire Sinclair From Charlotte

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Phoenix RoadRunners of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks and the Worcester Sharks, announced today that the club has traded the rights to goaltender Dave McKee in exchange for the rights to forward Colin Sinclair.

Sinclair, 26, tallied six goals and 29 points in 59 games as a rookie in 2007-08 with the Idaho Steelheads. The Brooks, Alberta native finished second among Steelheads' rookies in scoring and ninth on the team overall. Sinclair's ECHL rights were traded to Charlotte on June 15.

Sinclair enjoyed a four-year collegiate career at the University of New Brunswick from 2003-07 where he totaled 28 goals and 71 points in 82 games. He was named the 2007 Canadian University Hockey top-student athlete while leading the Varsity Reds to the CIS Championship. Sinclair also notched 56 goals and 168 points in 325 career games with the Kootenay Ice of the Western Hockey League from 1998-2003.

McKee went 6-11-4 in 24 games with the RoadRunners with a 3.92 goals against average and a .894% save percentage.

Phoenix will play a two-game pre-season series against the Florida Everblades Oct. 10-11 at Germain Arena in Estero, Fla.

The RoadRunners open their fourth ECHL season Oct. 17 when they welcome the Victoria Salmon Kings to US Airways Center for a three-game Opening Weekend series.
