TOPEKA, KS) - The North American Hockey League today named Topeka RoadRunner forward Andy Inderieden as the NAHL South Division Player Of The Week. Goaltender Lyle Rocker was recognized with an honorable mention in the leagues Goalie Of The Week category.
The following is from nahl.com: "Topeka forward Andy Inderieden connected for two goals and an assist as the RoadRunners celebrated a two-game sweep over Fairbanks. On Friday, the Maple Grove, Minn., native potted a pair of goals and assisted on Jordan George's game-winning in a 5-3 victory. The next night, the 20-year-old scored the first goal of the shootout as the RoadRunners bested the Ice Dogs, 2-1.
"Andy is starting to play the way he can play and the way he needs to play," said RoadRunners head coach Scott Langer. "He has the size, he has the tools and he has the heart. His role with this team grows every day."
Lyle "ShowTime" Rocker was credited with an Honorable Mention in the Goalie Of The Week category as he backstopped the RoadRunners to a weekend sweep of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. He improves to 15-3-0 on the year and an amazing 28-3-1 in his junior career, all with Topeka. He posted a .915 save percentage and a 1.92 GAA in the two games. The highlight of his weekend was turning aside all 4 shooters he faced in Saturday nights shootout win. "Lyle's numbers speak for themselves", said Head Coach / GM Scott Langer. "He consistently finds a way to win hockey games."
