RiverHawks Trade Fernandez; Labelle Returns

When the Augusta RiverHawks face the Fayetteville FireAntz this Friday night, they will feature a familiar face in the lineup. The RiverHawks are pleased to announce the return of forward Lucas Labelle following his loan to the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Consequently, in order to make room for Labelle in the lineup, the RiverHawks have traded forward Tyler Fernandez to the Louisiana Ice Gators for future considerations.

Labelle began the season playing 17 games for the RiverHawks, scoring four goals and adding three assists to go along with 16 penalty minutes. He was then loaned to the Everblades, where he picked up one assist in twelve games while spending 22 minutes in the penalty box.

The 5-foot-8, 190-pound two-way forward played all of last season with the RiverHawks, suiting up for 56 games and scoring 14 goals and 15 assists. He also tallied 90 penalty minutes. In the playoffs he added another goal and two assists to his record during the team's nine-game run to the President's Cup Finals.

In 19 games with the RiverHawks this season, Fernandez scored four goals and added six assists to go along with 10 penalty minutes. He joined the RiverHawks mid-way through the season after starting the year in the Federal Hockey League with the 1000 Island Privateers where he racked up 10 goals and seven assists in 17 games.

The RiverHawks are back in action on Phoenix Refrigeration Ice at the James Brown Arena Thursday, March 1st as they face the Fayetteville FireAntz.
