Augusta RiverHawks News Release

The Augusta RiverHawks Hockey Club announced the signing of Kevin Galan and Dylan Bellmore for the 2010-2011 inaugural season.

Most recently, Galan, a Salmon Arm, British Columbia native, was a member of the Southern Professional Hockey League's Pensacola Ice Flyers during the 2009-2010 season.

"Kevin is a former NCAA division three player with a great shot," Said Head Coach, Brad Ralph. "We were excited to see that he was available during the expansion draft, because he had a strong season with Pensacola and we are looking forward to having him in Augusta."

Before joining the SPHL, the six-foot-one, 201-pound right wing attended The State University of New York at Plattsburgh from 2005-2007 and Geneseo from 2007-2009. Galan posted a career-high 26 points in 31 games with SUNY-Plattsburgh during the 2005-2006 season.

Bellmore, a Winnipeg, Manitoba native, spent some time with the Miramichi Timberwolves, a member of the Maritime Junior Hockey League. During the 2008-2009 season, Bellmore recorded a career-high 37 goals in 50 games with the Timberwolves.

"Dylan is a young guy and brings a lot of offensive talent to the team," Said Ralph. "He has exceptional speed which helps his game tremendously at both ends of the ice."

The Augusta RiverHawks Hockey Club is located in Augusta, Georgia, and they are committed to making the entire CSRA a better place to live for individuals and families alike. The RiverHawks are dedicated to being good community partners and providing positive role models for local youth.

The RiverHawks' inaugural season will begin with a weekend extravaganza October 22nd and 23rd. The puck will drop at 7:30pm on both nights. Information on season tickets and sponsorships for the 2010-11 season are available by visiting www.augustariverhawks.com.
