
Riverhawks Point Hawks FC in New Direction

(Cincinnati, OH) â The Cincinnati Riverhawks have turned their youth program, the Hawks FC, in a new direction. The team has placed some of this year's players in charge of the program in an effort to help it grow.
Marcel Matis, Bobby Meyer, Craig Yacks, John Cipriani, Logan Wallace and Joaquin Palomeque have all been placed in director positions for the Hawks FC.
Marcel Matis will act as the overall Director of Coaching for the program. Bobby Meyer will be Club Administrator and will be the liaison between the Hawks FC and the Riverhawks. The Directors of Coaching for boys and girls ages 9-18 will be Craig Yacks and John Cipriani respectively. Logan Wallace will be the Director of Coaching for ages 5-6 and Joaquin Palomeque will be the Director of Coaching for ages 7-8.
The Hawks FC currently has four teams in its program, a U-8, U-11, U-12, and a U-14. The team hopes to increase that number in the coming months with tryouts and invitations to teams to join the club. The club's tryouts will be held June 9-13 at the Evendale Recreation Center.
The goal of the Hawks FC is to develop soccer players in the Greater Cincinnati region. Players will be encouraged to progress from SAY to Select in the Hawks FC system, with the possible formation of a Super Y-League team in the future.

The Cincinnati Riverhawks announced today they have released midfielder Philippe Godoy from his contract per team policy.
