Loves Park, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks used hits big and small to defeat the Evansville Otters on Sunday, 8-4. The RiverHawks banged out 10 singles while Todd Martin and Matt Mazurek each hit a two-run home run.

Mazurek provided the game-winning hit in the bottom of the fifth with his two-run home run to left field. The blast put the âHawks up, 6-4. Todd Martin added to that lead in the sixth inning with a deep drive to the right-field beer garden. Martin was 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Tanner Watson (2-0) earned his second win of the year in his first appearance at Road Ranger Stadium since 2007. Watson allowed three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings. John Muller relieved Fabian Gomez in the ninth inning with two runners on base to earn his seventh save. Calen Sutton (0-1) gave up all 15 of Rockford's hits and took the loss in his first start of the year for Evansville.
The RiverHawks' win ended a three-game losing skid.
