
River Cats, Clear Channel Extend Broadcast Partnership

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats and Clear Channel Radio Sacramento have extended their broadcast agreement, continuing to make Talk 650 KSTE the exclusive broadcast home of all River Cats games. The three-year extension includes the airing of the River Cats vs. Oakland A's exhibition game at Raley Field on March 31, all 144 River Cats' regular season games and all Cats' post-season action. The "Voice of the River Cats," Johnny Doskow, will return to the booth for his 12th season with the team.
"We are excited to continue our partnership with KSTE and the Clear Channel family of stations," said River Cats General Manager Jeff Savage. "The regional exposure will help us promote the excitement of River Cats baseball and our on-field success, as well as enhance the value of our corporate relationships."
The first River Cats broadcast of the 2012 season on KSTE will be aired Saturday, March 31, when the River Cats host their Major League affiliate, the Oakland A's, at 6:05 p.m. The team's first regular season radio broadcast is Thursday, April 5 at 7:05 p.m., when the team travels to play the Las Vegas 51s (Triple-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays). Sacramento's first home broadcast is Friday, April 13 at 7:05 p.m., when Sacramento hosts the Reno Aces (Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks).
Tickets for Opening Day at Raley Field are currently available through purchase of River Cats Full Season Tickets, Mini-Plans, Flex Plans and group packages, which can be purchased by calling the River Cats Ticket Hotline at (916) 371-HITS (4487). River Cats season ticket holders and 36-game Founders' Club ticket holders will receive one complimentary River Cats-A's ticket per paid seat.
