Riptide Trade Jordi Jones-Smith to Albany FireWolves

Uniondale, NY - The New York Riptide announced today that the club has traded defensemen Jordi Jones-Smith to the Albany FireWolves in exchange for a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2026. Should Jones-Smith play six games during the 2023-24 season, the fifth-round pick will become a fourth-round pick.
Jones-Smith, 29, spent last season with the Riptide after being acquired via trade with the Saskatchewan Rush. The right-handed defender appeared in 12 games with the Riptide last season, registering two assists, 26 loose balls, and five caused turnovers.
