Riptide schedules first tryout camp

Portland, OR. The ABA Oregon Riptide will hold its First Open Tryout Camp for the 2006-2007 season on Saturday, May 27th at 10am. According to J. Brice, "We are looking for players who would like an opportunity to play at the professional level. If you possess speed, athleticism, toughness, scoring ability and knowledge of the game, bring your game on May 27th."

Hopefuls will be competing for an opportunity to be a part of the Oregon Riptide basketball team's inaugural season. Cost of the camp is $125 per player. "Our goal for the upcoming season," added Brice, "is to bring an ABA championship to Oregon. We'll provide local and national exposure opportunities for the players, staff and coaches. We will also bring high scoring, exciting and fun-filled family entertainment at affordable prices to the metropolitan area of Portland."

Registration begins at 930am sharp. Applicants should be prepared for a complete evaluation of their professionalism as well as their basketball knowledge and ability.
