Riptide Hire Nicholas May as Equipment Manager

August 18, 2020 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) - New York Riptide News Release

New York, NY - The New York Riptide announced today that the organization has hired Nicholas "McLovin" May as the team's equipment manager.

May joins the organization after spending eight years with the Buffalo Bandits.

"We are fortunate to add Nick to our staff," Riptide general manager Jim Veltman said. "He has earned this title, having served as an assistant equipment manager in Buffalo for several years."

May interned with the Bandits in their operations department in 2012 before joining the equipment staff as an assistant equipment manager in 2013. A graduate of Columbia Southern University, he assisted in the operation of the Jr. Bandits since their inception in 2014 and also served as a coaches assistant with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres in 2015.

"I am incredibly excited for this opportunity," May said. "I have seen what a successful franchise looks like during my time with the Bandits and know that this staff will be able to build the Riptide into the premier franchise in the NLL. I am really looking forward to it and can't wait to get started."
