Rideaux To Be Deep Threat On Offense

Louisiana Swashbucklers News Release
LAKE CHARLES LA. - As training camp for the Louisiana Swashbucklers prepares to start head coach Darnell Lee has added Jordan Rideaux to the receiving corps. At 5'8" and 170 lbs, Rideaux was a teammate of quarterback Ben McLaughlin, who was signed earlier this year. Both played for Louisiana College.
Rideaux had a stellar career at Louisiana College. He was a 2009 NCAA Division III All-American and set a few records along the way. He racked up 1,857 all-purpose yards and scored 14 touchdowns. He also became the first player in the program's history to score a touchdown on a reception, rush, punt return, and kickoff return in the very same season. Rideaux's speed is impressive considering he ran the 40-yard dash in a time of 4.36.
"Rideaux has the potential to set some records with the Swashbucklers," Lee said. "He can get downfield quickly and become our deep threat receiver. We are fortunate to have someone like Rideaux who has experience catching the ball from McLaughlin. With these two players our offense can score a lot of points in a game."
Time is marching on! The kickoff to the 2011 season is a little over two weeks away. The Swashbucklers are getting ready for a championship run in the SIFL. And you are invited to join the Bucs in the pursuit of that goal. Great seats are still available in the Smuggler's Den. And with lower prices this year tickets are more affordable than ever. Get yours today and be treated to the best indoor football action and family entertainment around.
