
Richardson named OHL Player of the Week

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that Owen Sound Attack centre Brad Richardson is the OHL Player of the Week for the first week of the 2004-05 season after scoring two goals and six points in two games.
Richardson, a 19-year-old native of Belleville had a pair of goals, including the game-winner and was the game's first star in Owen Sound's season-opening 5-2 win over the Peterborough Petes on September 23. He added three assists in a 5-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires in Owen Sound's home opener on September 25.
Richardson, Owen Sound's first round pick in the 2001 OHL Priority Selection, was limited to just 16 regular season games last year due to injury. He was a fifth round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
