Rhinos look to bounce back at home

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rhinos will look to rebound from their opening day loss at Carolina last weekend with two games in three days on the road this weekend against the Puerto Rico Islanders on Friday and the Miami FC Blues on Sunday.

The Rhinos will take on the 2008 Commissioners Trophy winner, the Puerto Rico Islanders from Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on Saturday. The Islanders, who defeated the Rhinos in the USL-1 semifinals 3-2 on aggregate last season, won their opening day match against the Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 in a rematch of last season's USL-1 title match. Former Rhino Noah Delgado scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Islanders with three points this season. Newly signed Tai Atieno was a member of the Islanders the last two seasons.

In addition to playing for the league title, Puerto Rico had been playing in the CONCACAF Champions League but finally fell in the semifinals to Cruz Azul (Mexican First Division) back on April 7. Kickoff for Friday's match is slated for 8:00 p.m.

On Sunday Rochester will take Miami from Lockhart Stadium in South Florida. The Blues won their first match against the Cleveland City Stars 3-1 last Saturday. The Rhinos faced Miami three times last season, failing to score a goal in all three contests. The Blues however, only scored once in those three meetings against the Rhinos. Former Rhino Alen Marcina scored for Rochester in that match while Diego Serna leads with a goal and two assists.

Tuesday, April 21st - 3:00 p.m. training at Rhinos Stadium (expected to last until 5:00 PM)

Wednesday, April 22nd - 10:00 a.m. at Rhinos Stadium (expected to last until 12:30 PM)

Thursday, April 23rd - Travel to Puerto Rico

Friday, April 24th - 8:00 p.m. - match at Puerto Rico Islanders (radio: Country 107.3 fm; video stream www.usllive.com)

Saturday, April 25th - Travel to Miami

Sunday, April 26th - 6:00 p.m. match @ Miami FC Blues (radio: Country 107.3 fm; video stream www.usllive.com)
