Rochester Rhinos News Release


Rochester Rhinos players and Rex the Rhino will be making appearances throughout Rochester this week as the team gets ready for the 2010 home opener on Saturday, May 1 against the Carolina RaiHawks at Marina Auto Stadium.

Tuesday, April 20:

Rhinos Ryan Heins and Neal Kitson will pay a visit to local branches of the Monroe County Library System. They will visit the Charlotte and Sully branches 3:00-4:00 p.m. and will read Rhinos Who Play Soccer by Julie Mammano and will teach simple soccer skills and sign autographs.

Wednesday, April 21:

The Rochester Rhinos annual kickoff dinner will be held, courtesy of Faber Homes, at the Italian American Sport Club located at 1250 Buffalo Road. Tickets for the event are $20.00 for individual tickets and $150.00 for a table of eight and can be purchased by calling (585) 889-4840. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, April 22:

The Rhinos practice session at Marina Auto Stadium will be open to the public. Fans of all ages are invited to attend, watch the team train from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and get autographs in a post practice autograph session from 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Tyler Bellamy and Rich Costanzo will be at Horizon Fun FX, located at 675 Ling Road in Greece. Tyler and Rich will be interacting with campers, signing autographs and posing for pictures from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Friday, April 23:

Rhino players and Rex the Rhino will be at Canandaigua National Bank's newest branch, located at Alexander Park from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Fans can win tickets, get player autographs, photo opportunities and more!

ABOUT THE RHINOS:

The Rhinos' next match is on Sunday, April 25 in Austin, TX to take on the Austin Aztex at House Park. Rochester opens its 2010 home slate at Marina Auto Stadium on Saturday, May 1 against the Carolina RailHawks at 7:00 p.m. Season tickets are currently on sale with packages starting at $35 in the supporters section and $99 in the General Admission and Reserved Seating sections.
