Rochester Rhinos News Release
(Rochester, NY). The Rochester Rhinos have announced today they will partner with SportsRadio 950 ESPN to broadcast all 30 of the team's regular season matches, US Open Cup and potential playoff matches during the 2010season.
"We are pleased to offer what we feel is a significant upgrade to be on the premier sports radio station in the Rochester market", says Rhinos Owner/CEO Rob Clark. "It's my goal to continually make the Rhinos a better organization and to have our matches broadcast on a dedicated sports station is a tremendous opportunity."
In addition to live match coverage, SportsRadio 950 ESPN will carry the Rhinos thirty minute "Pre-Game" and "Post-Game" shows. All matches, including the pre and post-game shows will also be streamed live at www.sportsradio950espn.com.
"SportsRadio 950 ESPN is proud to be the new radio home for the Rochester Rhinos" said Operations Manager John Thomas. 'Our mission is to serve the Rochester sports fan, and the Rhinos are a very important franchise in our community".
Veteran play-by-play broadcaster Joe Giuliano returns for his fourteenth season with the Rhinos organization and will be joined by "Soccer Sam" Fantauzzo in the booth as color analyst. In addition to the broadcasts, Giuliano and Fantauzzo will host the Rhinos pre and post game shows.
"I look forward to returning as the Play-By-Play Broadcaster for the Rochester Rhinos", said Joe Giuliano. "With the formation of the USSF D2 Pro League, a new Rhinos Coach and many new players, this will be a great opportunity to help the Rhinos fans follow our club. It will be a pleasure calling the action as we look to return to the top of US Soccer".
