
Revolution Announces 2014 Preseason Plans

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will formally open its 2014 training camp on Saturday, Jan. 25, at Gillette Stadium. The team's six-week camp will include extended trips to Florida and Arizona, as well as seven games against MLS and international competition that are currently scheduled.
Upon opening camp on Jan. 25, the team will train two days in Foxborough before traveling to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., on Monday, Jan. 27. The Revs will spend 10 days training in Bradenton before returning home on Friday, Feb. 7. The team currently has three scrimmages scheduled in Bradenton: vs. Malmo FF (Sweden) on Friday, Jan. 31, vs. Toronto FC on Sunday, Feb. 2, and vs. the Chicago Fire on Thursday, Feb. 6.
After one week of training in Foxborough scheduled for Feb. 8 through Feb. 14, the team will then depart for Tucson, Ariz., on Saturday, Feb. 15, for their third preseason trip to Tucson in as many seasons.
While in Tucson, the Revs will participate in the previously-announced Desert Diamond Cup, hosted by FC Tucson. The six-team tournament also features the Chicago Fire, Chivas USA, Colorado Rapids, Real Salt Lake and host FC Tucson. The group-round games will be played as tripleheaders on Wednesday, Feb. 19, Saturday, Feb. 22 and Wednesday, Feb. 26, before the placement games and championship are played on Saturday, March 1.

After returning to Boston on Sunday, March 2, the team's focus will shift to the regular season, which will begin on Saturday, March 8, when the team travels to face the Houston Dynamo at 8:30 p.m. ET at BBVA Compass Stadium. ÃâàÃâÃÂ
