
Revelers, Groove Make Moves

GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 24, 2003) - In unrelated moves in the National Basketball Development League on Monday the Mobile Revelers acquired forward Jermaine Williams and the Greenville Groove waived guard Dean Oliver.
Williams, a 6-foot-10, 225-pound center, most recently played with the Harlem Globetrotters. After stops at San Jacinto (Texas) Junior College, he finished his collegiate career at Charlotte ('02), averaging 4.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He averaged 12.0 points and 10.0 rebounds at San Jacinto.
Williams is expected to be in uniform when the Revelers (19-18) travel to Huntsville (17-22) to renew the I-65 Series at the Von Braun Center. Tipoff for that game is 7:30 p.m. CT.
The Groove (17-20) acquired Oliver on Feb. 3. Playing in a reserve role at point guard for Greenville, Oliver averaged 10.4 minutes, 3.0 points and 1.4 assists in five games (no starts).
