Reno Bighorns News Release
RENO, NV ---- In preparation for the 2015-16 Reno Bighorns season, the Bighorns will hold open tryouts in Reno on Aug. 30 and in Sacramento on Sept. 5.
NBA Development League hopefuls will have the opportunity to display their skills in front of Bighorns coaches on Sunday, Aug. 30 in Reno at South Reno Athletic Club (9393 Gateway Drive Reno, NV 89521) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Kings Practice Facility in Sacramento (1 Sports Parkway, Sacramento, CA 95834) on Saturday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Players will compete to earn an invitation to the Bighorns training camp in early November.
"Last year we had eight players from our camps earn spots on D-League rosters," said Bighorns head coach Dave Arseneault, Jr. "After leading the league last season in NBA call-ups and a full season of experience under my belt, I'm confident our tryouts are going to produce great opportunities to be seen by our Kings/Bighorns staff and ultimately move players one step closer to the NBA."
Players who are interested in trying out should submit the official registration and release forms, in addition to a $150 non-refundable fee to the Reno Bighorns Front Office (50 W. Liberty Street Suite 201Reno, NV 89501). Registration form and waivers are available at:
