Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades announced today the signing of import linebacker Anthony White to a one-year contract with a club option for a second season.
White (6-1, 250, UCLA) spent four college seasons with the UCLA Bruins and served as a team leader on defence, known for his dependability and willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. He completed his career at UCLA with 193 tackles and three interceptions in 42 games.
"I'm impressed with his ability," said Renegades head coach Joe Paopao. "He moves very well for a guy of his size.
"I saw what he did with UCLA in the Pac-10 which is a very good brand of football. He was making plays everywhere."
White attended Calgary Stampeders training camp last spring and worked out with the Buffalo Bills before the start of the 2002 NFL season.
