Richmond Renegades News Release
CONGRATLATIONS to Dan Vandermeer and ANDRE GILL..........who are the best of the best. Dan was selected by the SPHL coaches as the Defenseman of the Year. He was also selected to the First All Star team. Andre was selected as a forward on the Second All Star team. This is the second year in a row that the Renegades have been honored with the Defenseman of the Year award as Coach Goudie was last year's recipient.

Alexis Feldt was crowned Miss Renegades 2008..........at last Saturday night's game. She is a VCU graduate and currently works as a paralegal with aspirations of becoming a lawyer. Alexis won out over 6 other finalists who were introduced to the fans during the first intermission in their evening gowns. The second intermission featured the ladies in bikinis and the winner was announced halfway through the third period. Alexis works part-time at Hooters on West Broad.

The Renegades will travel to Fayetteville Friday..........for game one of the best of three quarter finals. Game two will be at the Richmond Coliseum this Saturday, March 29th at 7:35 PM. If a third game is necessary it will be in Fayetteville on Tuesday, April 1st.
********************
HOOTERS WILL NOT be showing the Renegades playoff games..........as a financial agreement could not be reached with PennAtlantic for the commercial license. The amount that PennAtlantic wanted to charge per game would work out to be almost the equivalent of nine times more than the entire NHL hockey package and just about the same price as the Wrestlemania package. The per game amount was more than six times the amount paid for the regular season games. Hooters is very appreciative of the great turnout of fans at their West Broad location to see the regular season games.
********************
The Renegades BLUE jerseys will be auctioned off..........this Saturday following the game. In addition, any remaining jerseys of any color that had not been auctioned will also be on the block. There are still a couple of white, green and gold jerseys available. Keep in mind that you will be required to pay for the jersey Saturday night but will not be able to take it home until after the playoffs. Please let Tracy know when you pay for the jersey whether or not you want the player to sign the jersey when the season is finished.
********************
Don't forget that the Coliseum has a pre-game buffet..........which is served in the Coliseum Club beginning at 6 PM Saturday. The price of the buffet is reasonable - only $14 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under not including tax and gratuity. Here is the Coliseum Club buffet menu for this Saturday night:
Salad Bar
Tomato Basil Bisque
Linguini Marinara with Meatballs
Garlic Bread
Fresh Baked Assorted Cookies

Renegades President/GM Allan B. Harvie, Jr. will be arrested..........tomorrow but it's all for fun and for a great cause. The Muscular Dystrophy Association is holding their annual Lockup to raise money. In order to be released he needs to raise bail money (pledges) of at least $3,000. If you'd like to help in this worthy cause you can make a pledge by emailing Allan at allan@rrenegades.com, call the Renegades office (644-7825) or go to our website and download the MDA pledge sheet under RECENT NEWS and fax it back to 804-644-2192. No matter how much he raises, Allan will be arrested at 10 AM tomorrow for at least an hour. Ahhhh yes, peace and quiet around the office for one hour! Help us help the MDA!
