Renegades Make No Roster Moves Wednesday

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Renegades completed 2003 Training Camp at Kemptville College in Kemptville, Ontario on Wednesday. The players participated in an indoor workout at the W.B. George Centre on campus. The practice was moved indoor due to rain.

Players that stick with the Renegades will be required to report to Frank Clair Stadium at Lansdowne Park on Sunday, June 15 for the club's first non-camp workout of the season.

By Canadian Football League rule, the Renegades are required to trim the club roster to 40 players before Saturday, June 14. The 40-player roster does not include players on injured reserve, the practice roster, or on the suspended list.

The Renegades have no roster moves to report on Wednesday.

The following Renegades players are currently nursing injuries suffered during camp or during pre-season games: P Pat Fleming (ankle), FB Mike Maurer (foot), LB Matt Robichaud (ribs), DT Mike Moten (knee), DB George McCullough (foot), LB John Grace (hamstring), CB Byron Capers (thumb), FB Mike Vilimek (hip pointer).

The following Renegades players are currently listed on the team's suspended list: DT Pene Talamaivao (virus), S Shawn Gallant (knee), WR Trevor Insley (ankle).

The Renegades will begin Sunday to prepare for the first game of the regular season, Friday, June 20 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Ivor Wynne Stadium (7:30 p.m.). The first Renegades home game is on Friday, June 27 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Frank Clair Stadium.
