Richmond Renegades News Release

TIME IS RUNNING OUT TO REGISTER.........for our MDA/RICHMOND RENEGADES GOLF TOURNAMENT which will be held during training camp on Monday, October 20th at River's Bend Golf and Country Club with a portion of the proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Teams will consist of three golfers plus a Renegades personality who will be added to each team by drawing names just before starting to make the foursome. Cost per player is only $100 or $300 per three person team. Any team wishing to have a specific Renegades personality will have that opportunity in a pre-tournament auction. There are great prizes and a chance to win a $50,000 hole-in-one cash prize! To register call the Renegades office at (804) 644-7825. Hurry as registration closes out on September 30th.

********************

THERE ARE STILL A FEW..........season ticket holders who have not completed their financial commitment for their tickets. It will really help the team if you would contact Tracy at our office (644-7825) as soon as possible so we don't release your seats next Monday.

********************

AND SPEAKING OF NEXT MONDAY..........single game tickets will go on sale next Monday at 10 am. That means you will be able to go to TicketMaster or to our offices and purchase tickets for individual games. You will save the TicketMaster charges by going to our office. The only additional charge you pay when you purchase at our office is the facility service fee of $1.

********************

IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE LYNCHBURG PRE-SEASON GAME..........and want to be sure of having a ticket you should call the Renegades office fairly soon. We have a very limited number of tickets available for the game. The seats are located behind the Renegades bench and cost $8 plus a $1 handling charge. Liberty students pay $5 and tickets are selling very quickly at the university. It is expected that the game will be sold out. Don't be disappointed.

********************

THE DATE FOR THE SEASON TICKET HOLDER PARTY..........has changed and is now set for THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16th from 5:30 PM - 7:15 PM. The location remains the Capital Ale House at the corner of 7th and Main Street. There is FREE parking at the corner of 6th and Main. You can pick up you season tickets, meet the players and renew old acquaintances just in time for the new season. Our 2008-09 merchandise line will be on sale during the party.

********************

YOU WILL SOON BE RECEIVING OFFICIAL NOTICE..........about THE ticket promotion package called the FAB FIVE. It has nothing to do with the Beatles but it will be a FANtastic gift for anyone on your any occasion gift list who likes hockey or anyone to whom you may want to introduce hockey. Plus it's a way that you can earn some GADESBUCKS. And what are GADESBUCKS you ask? Just a way for you to save money on Renegades merchandise, tickets, souvenirs, etc. You'll learn more about them at the season ticket holder party on October 16th at Capital Ale House.

********************

WE ARE ALL IN FOR A TREAT OPENING NIGHT..........because 12 y.o. singing sensation BRIA KELLY will not only be singing the national anthems (becoming a tradition) but in each of the intermissions Bria will also be singing A traditional song. We have never had the opportunity of having Bria sing anything other than the anthems. That will change on opening night, Friday, October 24th and we are all in for a tremendous musical treat.

********************

BIG MEN THROWING STUFF..........is a slogan of the RICHMOND HIGHLAND GAMES & CELTIC FESTIVAL. Well those big men and their pipe band from the festival will be in attendance opening night and you can see them up close and personal; kilts and all. You will also have a chance to win tickets to all the festival events on Saturday, October 25th as the festival concludes its two day stand. If you have never attended this festival take the opportunity to go over opening weekend.

********************

WE'LL BE ANNOUNCING MORE SIGNINGS THIS WEDNESDAY..........but we can't say anything just yet. However, Dennis Sicard is staying in Tulsa although we understand that it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that wee Mikey Craigen, Knoxville's #16, has retired. We figure he got tired of being Sicard's private punching bag so he hung them up. Thanks for the great memories Mike and good luck with Bell Canada, your new employer. W don't know if wee Mikey went to work with the Canadian telephone giant because he got his bell rung so often by Sicard, but you never know.

********************

IN A BREAK WITH TRADITION..........we will be opening our regular season on a Friday night for the first time. Staying with the theme of breaking with tradition, our opening night giveaway will be magnetic schedules courtesy of our great friends at UNOS; United Network for Organ Sharing. Have you signed up to be an organ donor yet? You could help to save 7 lives!

********************

CAN YOU HELP GETTING OUR SCHEDULES OUT..........to the public by placing them at banks, restaurants, service stations and other high traffic public venues? If so simply come to our office and pick up some packets of schedules. Please be sure that you have the permission of the business owner or management before leaving them. All help is appreciated!

********************

TALK ABOUT PIT BULLS..........our own Tracy Hynes, although not a pit bull, is back and going full forward. She thanks everyone for their kind wishes during the time she was lapping up the care and attention after her broken leg. We know she's back in form because she gave us the slogan for a T-shirt which will be on sale soon: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAYETTEVILLE FIREANTZ PLAYERS AND A PIT BULL???? LIPSTICK!!!
