Renegades Fan Notes

January 18, 2008 - SPHL (SPHL)
Richmond Renegades News Release

HE RENEGADES OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, JANUARY 21, 2008.

********************

Ryan Senft is remaining with the Renegades..........and is not accepting an invitation to join the CHL's Mississippi team. After considerable thought Ryan has decided that he needs to stay with his Renegades teammates and continue the quest for a championship. Moving to the CHL would be considered, at best, a parallel move and made no sense to Ryan at this time.

********************

Former Renegades goalie from last season, Jay Chrapala..........signed a Standard Player Contract today and will be with the Renegades for the foreseeable future. We welcome Jay back to Richmond and look forward to seeing him in a game.

********************

Your Renegades took a well deserved evening off..........yesterday and took the ChapStick Cruiser to Washington to watch the Capitals play Edmonton. The team was the guest of Coca-Cola and they were accompanied by Alan Jackson, District Manager for Coca-Cola. The players watched the game from the luxury of the Coke suite and were treated to a great game that went to a 12th player shoot-out. Thanks Alan Jackson and Coca-Cola.

********************

Due to a very large merchant price increase..........the Richmond Renegades will no longer accept American Express or Discover credit cards. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

********************

The Renegades will be wearing white jerseys..........at both road games this weekend. The FireAntz have a special dark jersey for Saturday night and Twin City has agreed to allow the Renegades to wear white which saves having to bring two sets of jerseys on the road. If you are watching either or both games on the internet (www.pennatlantic.com) make sure you cheer for the team in light jerseys!!

********************

On January 30th, the Bill Crumpton/Michelin Tire FIRE-A-TIRE cash prize will be $425!!

Don't forget that the Coliseum has a pre-game buffet..........which is served in the Coliseum Club beginning at 6 PM on game days. You must enter through the East Leigh Street doors only and have a valid ticket for that night's Renegades game. The price of the buffet is reasonable - only $14 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under not including tax and gratuity. Here is the menu for Wacky White Wednesday, January 30th.

There are two fun nights coming..........at the beginning of February. Friday, February 1st is our next 2, 3, 4 and More Night, "MUTTS TO YOU" (see below) and Skate with the Players. The night is being sponsored by Graffitti Ink and the first 2,000 fans receive a Renegades removable tattoo. Here is something just announced..........the up and coming band, CONSHAFTER, will be playing before, during and after the game. They will be giving out hundreds of CD's and some tickets for their March 9th performance at Toad's Place.

The next night, Saturday, February 2nd, is Richmond International Raceway/NASCAR night with UKROP's sponsoring the night. You receive $4 off any ticket with your Ukrop's UVC card. It is also Scout Night with $5 off any seat for our Scouts. There will be pace cars, race cars, stock cars and plenty of surprises and fun for everyone. The Renegades will wear a special race themed jersey which will be auctioned off immediately following the game.

********************

Don't forget our upcoming "MUTTS TO YOU"..........our on ice dog race for all comers. It's happening on Friday, February 1st during the first intermission. To enter your dog simply call the Renegades office (644-PUCK) and that's all there is to it. Your dog cannot weigh more than 15 pounds, be licensed and current on its shots (bring shot record).

********************

Look at this list of promotions and events still to come..........before the season ends.

** SPRING FASHION SHOW FEATURING LATEST LINE IN BIKINIS

** LEGENDS/RETRO NIGHT

** TEDDY BEAR TOSS

** WEINER DOG RACE

********************

The number of games in the 2008-09 regular season increases to 60..........meaning there will be 30 home games next season. It is anticipated that we will add another team so most, if not all of the additional 4 games will be played on a Friday or Saturday night!
