Renegades add another member to growing family

Offensive lineman Val St-Germain, an original Renegade from the inaugural 2002 season, became a father for the first time on Saturday. His wife, Heidi, gave birth to baby daughter Kallie, who weighed in at nine pounds and five ounces when she was delivered at the Ottawa General Hospital.

St-Germain was excused from practice Sunday to spend time with the newborn but returned to the field with smiles on Labour Day Monday.

The Ottawa Renegades announced the following roster moves on Monday.

Receiver Frank Cutolo and quarterback Paul Peterson have been released. Both were in their first year with the Renegades.

Ottawa returns to action on Friday, September 2 against the Montreal Alouettes at Percival Molson Stadium. The Renegades return to play on their home turf on Thursday, September 8 for a Week 11 affair against the B.C. Lions at Frank Clair Stadium.
