Redbone Fly Fishing Tournament Announced

SPRINGDALE, AR - The second annual Redbone Fly Fishing Tournament presented by Rich Products is set for October 4-6, 2012 at the Spring Valley Rod & Gun Club in Decatur, AR. It is a two person event featuring celebrity anglers and some of the best guided fishing in Northwest Arkansas. Honorary Co-chairs Tracey Johnston, Sr. Buyer for Sporting Goods and Fishing at Wal-Mart and Jim Enneking, Buyer for Sporting Goods and Fishing at Wal-Mart will both be on hand during the tournament. Proceeds from the invitational will benefit the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

"Every angler and dinner guest who participates helps us save lives," said Rich's Brent LaRoche, co-chair of the event. "Thanks to this tournament's supporters and sponsors, we are making tremendous progress in fighting this disease." LaRoche noted. In fact, the median age of survival for a person with CF has improved from early childhood in the 1950s to 37 years old today. Last Year the event rose over $60,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

No experience is necessary for this tournament both amateur and expert fishermen are welcome to participate. The three day event will feature: professionally guided catch-and-release fly fishing for both brown and rainbow trout, dinner, an auction and closing with an awards ceremony on Saturday, October 6.

Many teams from last year and new teams have already signed up. The field of teams may be limited so enter early.
