RedBlacks Bring Back Linebacker Don Unamba

OTTAWA - After having his Ottawa REDBLACKS debut delayed by the cancelled 2020 season, veteran American linebacker Don Unamba will be back for 2021, the club announced Tuesday.

The veteran of six CFL season signed with the REDBLACKS as a free agent last February after spending the 2019 season with the Edmonton Football Team where he was third on the team in sacks (6) and fifth in defensive tackles (43). Unamba spent the previous two seasons before going to Edmonton with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, which followed seasons with Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and Montreal. In 73 career regular season games, Unamba has 192 defensive tackles, 36 special teams tackles, 11 sacks, six interceptions, two touchdowns and eight forced fumbles.
