CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicago Red Stars are pleased to announce that open tryouts have been finalized for the 2016 campaign. Players who believe they can compete for a spot with the 2015 National Women's Soccer League semi-finalists may register now to participate on February 18, 2016 for a session led by Head Coach Rory Dames and coaching staff. The following tryout session on February 19 will be for call-back players only. The combine will take place at McCook Athletic & Exposition (4750 South Vernon Avenue, McCook, IL 60525).

To participate in the combine, each player must be a college senior or post-college, submit a $100 registration fee (pay here) and e-mail a completed registration form and liability waiver, along with her soccer résumé. Players must have their own insurance prior to tryouts. The entire application can be conveniently prepared and submitted (here). In 2015, a number of open tryouts participants were invited to join the club's official preseason training camp. With the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, the Red Stars were down eight players for a majority of the season, allowing a handful of participants from the open tryouts to play in the 2015 NWSL season. Many of these participants were chosen to take part in the Red Stars Reserve program (WPSL National Champions) and were called up throughout the season to fill-in during the World Cup stages.

Thursday, February 18th

Player Check-In: 9:00 AM

Session 1: 9:30 AM - 11:30AM

Session 2: 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM

Friday, February 19th (Day 2 by invite only)

Player Check-In: 7:30 AM

Session: 8:00 AM -10:00 AM
