Reading Rockets Kick Off Inaugural Season
September 28, 2012 - Professional Lacrosse League (PLL-1)
Reading Rockets News Release
The Cradle for the Cure Program seeks to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research in the southeastern Pennsylvania region.
"Giving back to the community is such a focal point of our organization," says Vice President and General Manager Andy Makal. "We've all known someone who's life has been affected by breast cancer. We want to honor those who have fought back and help find a cure so that maybe others can be spared that struggle."
The Rockets open their first season of play at home against the Jacksonville Bullies on September 29th at 7:05. As the Reading Rockets prepare for the opening game of their inaugural season, one thing is certain. The team is motivated. The Rockets are donating proceeds from ticket sales and a post-game jersey auction to St. Joseph Cancer Center and Susan G. Komen of Philadelphia.
Tickets are available at www.rocketslax.com or the Sovereign Center Box Office. Call (610) 314-7323 for more details.
Paint the Launch Pad Pink Night is sponsored, in part, by Commonwealth Orthopaedic Associates, the official trainer of the Reading Rockets.
