The South Carolina Stingrays announced this week that the Sound Dogs will perform on opening night, when the Stingrays host the Columbia Inferno on Saturday, October 22nd.

The pre game festivities will get underway at 4:00 featuring the music of the Sound Dogs. Other aspects of the pre game party include food and drink, jump castles and climbing walls for the kids, a performance by Van Doren the Magician, fire trucks and police cars and appearances by area mascots.

Stingrays partner with E.A.C Tennis for 2005 - 2006 Season

The Stingrays have entered into a unique partnership with local tennis company, E.A.C. Tennis - which stands for Everyone is A Champion. Throughout the season, E.A.C. Tennis will have a presence on the concourse at the North Charleston Coliseum to promote tennis instruction and will participate in promotions with the Stingrays on and off the ice.

E.A.C., founded in early 2005, was the brainchild of local instructor Derik Trent. Derik wanted to combine his love for teaching tennis with a charity that is near to his heart - The Special Olympics. Trent's alliance with the well known organization drives 50% of his revenue, from teaching and merchandising, back to Special Olympics. Derik travels throughout Charleston and surrounding areas, making it convenient for all local tennis enthusiasts to receive instruction.

Please give Derik a call at 843-214-9720 for more information on reserving lessons or stop by his booth at selected Stingray games this season.
