
Raven Chavanne Signs with Pennsylvania Rebellion

Washington, PA - The Pennsylvania Rebellion have announced that 2014 World Cup Gold Medalist Raven Chavanne is joining the roster this season. Chavanne was a member of the 2010 Futures National Team. There, she led the team with a .389 batting average. In 2013, she was selected to the USA National Team that won silver in the World Cup. The team later won gold at the Mayor's Cup and qualified for the Pan American Games.
In 2014, she and the rest of the USA National squad won gold at the World Cup. She batted .591 in the tournament and drove in nine runs. She registered a homerun and led the team with three stolen bases. The team also placed second in the International Softball Federation World Championship in 2014.
The Thousand Oaks, California native was a four-time All-American selection with the University of Tennessee. As a Volunteer, Chavanne was a three-time Top 10 Finalist for USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year. She was later drafted by the Chicago Bandits in the 2013 NPF draft.
"We are very happy to welcome Raven to the Rebellion. We believe that her international experience, with Team USA, will help her transition into the NPF and be a big contributor in 2016," said General Manager Steven Zavacky.
