Raptors Sign Two with NFL Camp Experience

Rockford IL. - Rock River Raptors announce the signing of Dillon Pieffer a Lou Groza Place-Kicker semifinalist, Shaun Miller WR, and Brian Colar DB.

Dillon Pieffer is a 5'11" 180 pound kicker out of University of Nevada Las Vegas. After graduating from UNLV he was invited to the St. Louis Rams preseason camp. At UNLV Dillon was the third-leading scorer in Rebel history with 231 points. In Dillon's career he was 110-117 on extra points and 40-57 on field goals and started in all four years. After graduating from UNLV he had broken or tied numerous scoring and kicking marks. He owns the record for most kicked points in Mountain West Conference history. Dillon was a three-time Academic All-MWC honoree off the field and was a All-MWC by both coaches and media. He also led the team in scoring with 86 points the most for a Rebel since 1994. He led the MWC and ranked 12th in the nation with 1.67 field goals per game. Dillon's career-long field goal was a 50-yarder in a win at New Mexico. It was the longest field goal for the school since 1994. Twice named MWC Special Teams Player of the Week (UH & UNM).

Shaun Miller is a 5'11" 196 pound wide receiver out of Howard University. In 2004 Shaun was invited to the Washington Redskins mini camp. Last year Shaun played in one game for the Evansville BlueCats where he tallied 8 catches for 78 yards. Shaun left Evansville for Baltimore Ravens 2005 summer training camp. At Howard Shaun started 40 games and played in 44 games in his career at Howard University. Shaun had 106 catches for 1306 yards and 9 touchdowns in the four years at Howard. He also played as the team's punt returner where he had 188 total yards

Brian Colar is a 5'11" 193 pound defensive back from Western Illinois University. At Western Illinois he played in and started all 10 games in his last season with the Leathernecks. In that senior campaign Brian had 61 tackles, 4 forced fumbles, and one interception. Brian also played on the special team where he had a block punt. In his senior year he was named MVP of the secondary. He also played at Central Michigan in his freshman year before attending Western Illinois.
