Raptors announce first tryout

The Raptors will be conducting their first open tryout in Rockford trying to dig up players who have the desire and ability to play on the professional level!

The tryout is open to any athlete 18 years of age or older, from high school experience thru college experience. Student athletes should consult their academic institution before attending the tryout as they may lose their eligibility.

The tryout will be held at the SportScore indoor facility at 8800 E Riverside Blvd in Loves Park, Illinois 61111 on December the 7th. Registration will begin at 6:30 am, with the tryouts beginning promptly at 8:00am for all skill players. This workout will run from 8:00-12:00pm. All OL/DL and FB/LB type guys (225lbs and above) will be working out from 12:00pm-4:00pm.

Players making the initial cut on Wednesday will be asked to come back for a second workout on Thursday the 8th from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the SportScore facility, at no additional fee. "To have the opportunity to take a look at the athletes we like from the day before this soon after the workout should allow us to sign 5-10 players from this tryout, and get a great feel for who can help us," said Richards'.

Cost is $50 if pre registered (cash or Money Order only) and $60 the day of. Athletes will need turf shoes, shorts, and a water bottle. Training Camp shirts will be provided for the tryout and food and beverages will be available at the Skybox restaurant located on the 2nd level of Sportscore.

ATTIRE NEEDED: SHORTS/SHIRT/TURF SHOES OR TENNIS SHOES TRYOUTS ARE SPLIT-8-12PM AND 12-4PM SKILL GUYS FIRST AND BIG GUYS IN SECOND TIME SLOT.

PLAYERS MAKING THE CUTS ON WEDNESDAY WILL BE ASKED TO COME BACK ON THURSDAY THE 8TH FOR A PRIVATE 2 HOUR WORKOUT FROM 2PM-4PM
