Rangers Offering Special Second Half Price

December 10, 2008 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Marquette Rangers News Release

Marquette - The Marquette Rangers are offering fans a new option in ticket pricing for the second half of their North American Hockey League season. The team is offering a one-price "Home Ice Advantage" discount for their final 16 home games of the year, plus all NAHL playoff games hosted by the club.

"Our schedule is very unique in that 16 of our final 25 games are here at Lakeview," said Rangers spokesperson Mark Evans. "We took a look at that and thought this would be a great way to reward our fans with a pretty sizeable discount, and perhaps use this affordable opportunity to get new fans in the building to enjoy the Rangers experience."

"It's a once in a lifetime schedule, by far the best schedule of any team in our entire 19 team league; so to make it as appealing for fans as possible made a lot of sense. It breaks down to around a 33% discount from what fans would pay if they bought a ticket to each individual game."

Evans added that after January 1st the Rangers, with a few exceptions, will be the primary hockey show in town.

"The Electricians and the University are on the road the bulk of the second half of the year, so it's pretty much going to be just us and the high schools," he said. "With all the activities during our games, and the prizes and fun we offer every night it adds a lot of value to an already affordable evening."

The "Home Ice Advantage" package includes one ticket to each remaining Rangers game, plus a voucher good for admittance to any home playoff games. Adults can purchase the package for $99.00, seniors and students are only $69.00 for 16 games plus playoffs. The discount will only apply to packages purchased before the deadline.

The offer expires December 31st. For more information, fans are asked to contact the Rangers office at Lakeview Arena 906-225-9077 or visit the teams' website www.marquetterangers.com.
