
Rampage sign veteran Ironman Dennison Robinson

The Grand Rapids Rampage have announced the signing of former All-Rookie and two-time Gladiators Ironman of the Year Dennison Robinson to the team's 24-man roster. Robinson spent his first three seasons with the New Jersey/Las Vegas Gladiators and was named the team's Ironman of the Year in 2002 and 2004.
Last season in Las Vegas, Robinson caught 44 balls for 465 yards with eight scores. On defense, he had five interceptions, 32.5 tackles and three pass breakups. Robinson was named to the 2002 AFL All-Rookie team after recording 67 receptions for 620 yards with nine TDs, and defensively adding three interceptions, 36.5 tackles and five pass breakups.
ARENA CAREER
2004: Robinson was awarded the team's Ironman of the Year award for the second time in 2004 after having 44 receptions for 465 yards with eight touchdowns and returned 17 kicks for 263 yards. On defense, he recorded 32.5 total tackles, five interceptions, three pass breakups, one tackle for a loss of four yards and recovered one fumble. 2003:On the defensive side of the football, Robinson contributed with 27 tackles and two breakups. Offensively, he returned four kickoffs for 86 yards and recorded 17 receptions for 165 yards. 2002: Was named to the AFL's All-Rookie team and earned team Ironman of the Year honors. He began the season winning the game's Ironman the first two games of the season before winning it one more time. He finished the season with 36.5 tackles, three interceptions returned for 88 yards, 67 receptions for 620 yards and nine touchdowns, 16 kick returns for 328 yards and rushed the ball seven times for 21 yards and four touchdowns.
COLLEGE
Attended the State University of West Georgia (NCAA Division ll) where he played just one season with the Braves. Though recruited as a wide receiver, Robinson made an impact for the Braves in the secondary setting numerous school marks in 1998. Set a new school mark seven interceptions in one season. Also set a new UWG record with 93-yard punt return against Arkansas-Monticello. His 10.5 average yards-per-return led the team and was second best in the Gulf South Conference. Totaled 43 tackles, seven interceptions for 65 yards, 12 breakups and a sack. He was also named First-Team Division ll All-American and was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy, given to the nations top Division ll player. Named Football Gazette All-American before transferring to West Georgia.
PERSONAL
Single, born September 7, 1978, in Baton Rouge, LA. Attended Murphy High School (Mobile, AL) where he was a three-sport letter winner in football, basketball and baseball. During the off-season, Robinson is a substitute teacher at Cathlic High in his hometown of Baton Rouge, LA. Majored in communications at University of West Georgia.
