
Rampage and Rage dance team offers clinics for girls April 22

The Third Annual Junior Rage Dance Clinic presented by Champion Health & Fitness will take place at the Soccer Spot on April 22 followed by a performance at the Rampage game on Centennial Wireless Field at Van Andel Arena on April 29. A new clinic, Football FUNdamentals for Girls, will also be held at the Soccer Spot on April 22. Both clinics are designed to give young girls the lifelong benefits of physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and self-confidence.
At the Junior Rage Dance Clinic, the Rage Dance Team will teach girls ages 6-14 a routine to be performed on the field during the Rampage pre-game show on April 29. Rampage players and staff will teach girls basic football skills, game knowledge and physical fitness tips at Football FUNdamentals for Girls. The clinic also includes tickets to the Rampage game on Saturday, April 29 against the Nashville Kats in order for participants to see the skills in action. Girls are placed in small groups based on ages for both clinics.
The Rampage are partnering with Girl Scouts of Michigan Trails for brownies and girl scouts to earn points toward badges for participation in either clinic. The Junior Rage Dance Clinic will give scouts points toward Dancercize, Dance or Invitation to the Dance badges. Participation in the Football FUNdamentals for Girls will earn points toward GirlSports, Field Sports and Sports for Life badges.
The two-hour clinics will run from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with check-in starting at 12:30 p.m. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by April 5. The cost to attend either clinic is $20 and includes: clinic participation, upper bowl ticket, $3 food voucher for the Rampage game and Rampage clinic souvenir. Additional tickets to the Rampage game for family members and friends are available for advance purchase.
