Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen are pleased to announce the arrival of 6-foot-10, 260-pound centre, Kenneth Cooper.
Cooper played for Oklahoma State University during the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons, and then moved on play for Louisiana Tech and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
After college, Cooper played professionally in Portugal, where he was a starting five player.
"Kenneth gives us a player who has a bigger post presence, can make the mid-range jumpshot, and can help secure the ability to rebound the basketball," said Head Coach Mike Evans.
Cooper will join the team for their weekend road game in Rochester, and will make his Metro Centre debut on Saturday, March 5 against the Quebec Kebs.
Tickets for the March 5 game can be purchased at any Ticket Atlantic location or at the Metro Centre Box Office. For group rate inquiries, please visit www.rainmenbasketball.ca.
