Rainmen Release 08/09 Schedule
October 21, 2008 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Halifax Rainmen News Release
(Halifax, N.S.) Halifax Rainmen owner, Andre Levingston released the team's schedule for the 08/09 season today. "We are excited about this year, and we are happy to be part of the PBL," said Levingston.
The Halifax Rainmen will play 10 home games and 10 away games in January with pre-season games are slated for December.
"We will be facing teams from last season like the Vermont Frost Heaves, the Manchester Millrats, Quebec Kebs and the Montreal Royales," added Levingston. "Plus we will go up against some new teams from outside of our conference as well."
Rainmen management is currently in the process of putting a winning team together including signing corporate partners. Some of the companies that have signed so far are Rogers Communications, Coca Cola Bottling Ltd., Z103.5 FM, the Metro, Marks Work Wearhouse, Micco Companies and Clearwater.
"Without corporate support the Rainmen would cease to exist. Our corporate packages are being custom designed so that every company has an original partnership agreement with the Rainmen. We need as much corporate support as we can get to provide a winning basketball team both on the court and in the community," concluded Levingston.
